Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. There's nothing to sign up for. Your games, coins and postcards are saved on your iPhone.
Will I lose my progress if I get a new iPhone?
Your progress is part of your iPhone's backup. Set up the new iPhone from an iCloud backup or a backup on your computer and the game comes back where you left it. Progress doesn't move between two phones you use at the same time.
Is the game free?
Yes. Postcard Solitaire is free to download and play, and it shows ads. You earn coins by playing. We may also offer optional purchases, like packs of coins, but you never have to buy anything to play.
How do I play each game?
The first time you play a game it shows you how. To see it again, tap the ? on the table's scoreboard.
I'm stuck. What can I do?
Tap the light bulb for a hint, or the arrow to take back a move. On a level of the world tour you have a set number of each, and you can get more with coins or by watching a short video. If no moves are left, the game tells you and offers to wind back to a point where the deal can still be won.
The cards are hard to see.
Pinch the table with two fingers to look closer; it springs back when you let go. Press and hold a column to see all its cards bigger.
How do I change the music and sounds?
On the home screen, tap the gear for Settings: music and sound effects each have a volume and an off switch. During a game, press and hold an empty spot on the table, or tap the menu button, to change the music, the place's sounds and the effects without leaving the game.
Do I need the internet to play?
You can play without a connection. New places and Detours download in the background when you're online.
Can I choose which ads I see?
In the game's Settings, turn off Personalized ads to see ads that aren't based on your interests. You can also change whether apps may track you in your iPhone's Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
How do I turn notifications on or off?
In your iPhone's Settings, tap Notifications, then Postcard Solitaire.
Why did a Detour disappear?
Some Detours, like Halloween Hollow, are open only for a while. The postcards you collected there stay in your album.
